Guests

Invitations & Access

There are different access modes for your event:

  • Via link — Anyone with the link can view your event and RSVP. This is the default for most events.
  • Closed / Invite only — Only guests you explicitly invite by email can RSVP.
  • PIN protection — In addition to either mode, you can enable a 4-digit PIN. Guests must enter it before seeing the event.

For closed events, send invitations through the guest list. Each guest receives a personalized link that bypasses PIN and invitation restrictions.

If you need a guest's personal link again later, the guest list has a "Show invitation link" action. For safety a fresh link is created and the old one stops working; you are told before that happens.

RSVPs

Guests open your event link and enter their name and email address. Then they choose:

  • Accept — The guest will attend.
  • Decline — The guest cannot make it.
  • Maybe — The guest is unsure (not available for paid events).

Guests do not need an account. A browser cookie remembers their response for 90 days, so they can change their answer at any time. Logged-in users are automatically recognized.

Guests who want one can create an account right while responding: via Google, Apple or Facebook, or with email and password. The account is created together with the response, no separate registration. "Continue without an account" always remains available; the email is then only used for this event.

You can optionally set an RSVP deadline — after which no new responses are accepted.

As the organizer, you can see the full guest list with filter options and CSV export under "Manage Guests." In the event settings you can hide the guest list from guests, then they see neither who is invited nor who accepted nor how many are coming, you and your co-hosts keep seeing it. This also applies in groups and series: members see no attendee count for a session with a hidden guest list there either, only group admins, the session's own host, and its co-hosts still see it.

Companions

When the "Companions" module is enabled, guests can add additional people after RSVPing:

  • Partner — Name and optional email
  • Child — Name, age, and optional email
  • Other — Free-form description

Up to 10 companions per guest.

As the host: You can add your own companions right in the "Who's coming" step of the create wizard. For group events you can pick a member of the group from a search and link them, otherwise enter name and age manually. Linked people receive an email with a decline link in case they don't actually want to attend. You also appear in your own event's guest list, so you can adjust your companions there later just like for other guests.

Allergies & Dietary Preferences

You can enable two optional fields during event creation:

  • Allergies — Free text field for guests to list allergies
  • Dietary preferences — Free text field for vegan, vegetarian, lactose-free, etc.

These fields appear in the RSVP form. Responses are visible in the guest list.
