Native App
Download the App
Events is available as a native app for iPhone and Android.
- iPhone: Download on the App Store
- Android: Get it on Google Play
The native app is free and offers the same features as the web version. You can use both in parallel — your data stays in sync.
Enable push notifications
On first launch, the app asks for permission to send notifications. If you declined back then, you can change it later:
- iPhone: Settings > Events > Notifications > allow
- Android: Settings > Apps > Events > Notifications > allow
Which notifications you receive is set in the app under Settings > Notifications. There you can toggle individual categories (RSVPs, reminders, event changes) on or off.
Upload photos from the camera
On your phone, you can upload photos directly from the camera into an event. In the photo album, tap the plus icon, choose "Camera" and take the photo on the spot. It lands automatically in the shared album.
Offline behavior
The app needs an internet connection to load current data. If you're briefly offline (subway, airplane mode), you can still view the event pages you last loaded. Actions like RSVPs or comments sync as soon as you're back online.
Web or app — which fits me?
- Web: On a computer when you set up or manage an event. Mouse, keyboard and a big screen are an advantage here.
- App: On the go when you want to quickly check who's coming or upload a photo. Push notifications and camera integrate better in the app.
- Both: Both paths work in parallel — your data is identical everywhere. Most people use both, depending on context.
Export Your Data
Under "Settings" > "Data Export" you can download all your data as a JSON file. The export includes your profile, created events, RSVPs, comments, photos, group memberships, and payments.
Delete Your Account
Under "Settings" > "Profile" you'll find the "Delete Account" option. You must enter a confirmation word to proceed. After deletion, all your events are archived, memberships removed, and personal data anonymized. Active subscriptions are automatically cancelled.
Deletion cannot be undone.
