Create a Group

Groups are ideal for recurring meetups or communities. There are two types:

  • Recurring — Has a fixed schedule (weekly, monthly, yearly). Sessions are generated automatically.
  • Social — No fixed schedule. Members can create individual events within the group.

The creation wizard guides you through the setup: type, basics (title, location, description), schedule (for recurring), and settings.


Manage Members

Inviting:

  • By email — Members receive an invitation link.
  • Search for existing users and add them directly.

Roles:

  • Admin — Full management rights.
  • Member — Can attend sessions and (if allowed) create events.

Join modes:

  • Closed — Invitation only.
  • Via link with approval — Interested people request membership; admins approve.
  • Via link without approval — Instant access through the group link.

Recurring Sessions

For recurring groups, sessions are generated automatically based on the defined schedule:

  • Weekly, monthly, or yearly
  • Up to 7 time slots per week (e.g., Tuesday 6 PM + Thursday 7 PM)
  • Period as a fixed season (e.g., September to June) or a rolling window (e.g., always 4 weeks ahead)

Each generated session is a standalone event with all enabled modules.


Group Calendar

Groups offer a calendar view of all upcoming and past sessions. You can subscribe to the calendar as an ICS file to see it in your calendar app.
